Nintendo Creators program is a service specifically designed to let YouTubers receive a portion of the advertising proceeds for all their Nintendo related youtube videos. To be eligible, YouTubers have to register with Nintendo.
Program’s General Rules:
- You can register entire channels or specific videos.
- If you register a whole channel, you’ll receive revenue from all videos in the channel regardless of their content. In case you wish for specific videos to apply to the program, you have to register them individually.
- Creators make 70% for whole channels and 60% for videos. Payment is calculated on a monthly basis and is via PayPal.
- Approval takes up to 3 working days.
Pros:
The program is a step in the right direction considering that Nintendo used to make all the advertising revenue. The program means that creators will no longer be afraid of getting copyright notices from Nintendo.
Cons:
The program agreement allows Nintendo to arbitrary change the revenue share. What if they change them to the detriment of YouTubers? Another issue is what happens when creators use game footage of Nintendo products for their review videos. It is a policy of the program that Nintendo gets a share of all Nintendo content used. Pewdiepie thinks the program is a “slap in the face” for YouTube gaming channels that focus exclusively on Nintendo games. He wrote on his Tumblr “What [Nintendo is] missing out is the free exposure and publicity that they get from YouTube /YouTubers.” Game critic Jim Sterling observed that “Nintendo has a long history of ‘Not getting it’ when it comes to YouTube and the new age of the transformative world.” “Not only do you have to essentially pay Nintendo to review their game by their rules,” said Geek Remix. “You’ve signed a contract with them to be allowed to review their game.”
The turnaround time for reviewing registered videos is also disadvantageous to YouTubers. YouTubers might also refrain from criticizing the game for fear that their review might not be approved.
2. EA Ronku’s Program
If you thought Microsoft was the only one secretly paying YouTubers to play their game Xbox One, you are wrong. Electronic Arts (EA) has a secret program – EA Ronku’s program that pays YouTubers to promote their games while adhering to laid down rules.
Program’s General Rules:
- According to the rules, YouTubers get no compensation if they create a video that focuses on a glitch in the game.
- Further, YouTubers aren’t allowed to disclose the contents of their agreement with EA and are also required to comply with FTC rules.
Pros:
Creators get paid for publishing video content for Battlefield 4 and Need for Speed: Rivals by earning $10 per thousand views. Other games in the program are Madden NFL 25, NHL 14, Plants vs. Zombie2 and FIFA 14.
Cons:
The program goes against The Federal Commission which expressly requires endorsers to inform their audience whenever they are working for a company.
3. Razer Referral Program
The Razer referral program reward gamers for introducing new players to the Razer software. You get rewarded for spreading the word about Razer Surround – Gaming Audio Software or letting your friend know how to utilize Razer Cortex to get the best out of his system among others.
Program’s General Rules:

4. Origin PC Affiliate Program

Cons:
On the downside, Origin does not state the percentage of the commissions. They are the ones to determine the rate based on channel evaluation.
Another disadvantage is that the Origin Affiliation program is only available to Influencers in the United States.
5. SteelSeries Affiliate Program
The SteelSeries Affiliate Program targets YouTube personalities, streamers, and Game community managers. It involves placing banners or links on your Twitch, YouTube channels, and other streaming platforms to refer visitors to the SteelSeries web shop. Pros:
It is a great opportunity for YouTubers, streamers, and other social media personality to make money without hustling much. Keeping track of your sales or commissions is easier through a dedicated program dashboard operated by their affiliate partner – Impact Radius. You also get paid through Impact Radius.
Cons:
It has stringent criteria for joining. Having a huge fan base is not enough to get you on the program. Communication with your fans should reveal a passion for the game.
6. Elgato Gaming Early Access Program
lgato Gaming as a way of giving back to the community runs “Early Access Program.” The program invites everyone around the world to apply for an opportunity of getting their new products for free before they are available in the market. 7. KontrolFreek Affiliate Program
